Bruin AI

Bruin AI has been the majority of my college experience. It's why I believe learning business, sales, and communication are core requirements of good engineering, not just "nice-to-have" skills. My experience includes:

  1. Sales/Outreach
    • Created first AI-focused industry project program at UCLA
    • Forged Partnership with Jane Street, Meta, BCG, GumGum, Cisco, and more
    • Responsible for 7 students securing their first paid internships!
  2. Engineering
    • Lead Data Science Consulting project with AdTech company GumGum, finding a potential 6% revenue increase (~$3 million) using Databricks and SparkML
    • Developed Bruin Macros app, using React Native, Gemini, and GCP so UCLA students can find out their protein intake from a picture
    • Built a Neural Network from scratch with NumPy
  3. Leadership
    • Created outreach team with lifetime response rate of 7% (2.3x industry average!)
    • Taught 3 outreach interns how to write winning emails, conduct discovery calls, and network with Big Tech Executives
    • Taught a shy member how to pitch a startup, who ended up receiving angel funding after our first Bruin AI Demo Day

Lock in.

A pomodoro system that combines pomodoro, meditation, and brown noise. I built this to help me focus on my work and avoid distractions. It has a simple interface and is easy to use. Built with Cloudfare Pages, React, and the Web Audio API.

Bruin Macros

A mobile app that lets you find out macronutrient counts of UCLA dining hall food from a picture. I learned about cloud Security, caching, web scraping, and Docker

Bruin Cruisin

A full stack web application that lets UCLA students schedule carpool rides. Built with the MERN stack

Brewin

Built an interpreter for the "Brewin" programming language, a close clone of Ruby. This taught me the most about design patterns, structuring a complex codebase for long term improvement, and how Python works at a deep level.
